When my father was alive, he always called Bernstein. Sam Bernstein was good at a variety of matters, not sure about more current practice however. Accidents are a thing wanting to happen and we don't know when it's our turn in the barrel. As for the insurance aspect, what type of coverage does you mother have? Usually the insurance carrier will handle the expense, if there is full coverage, and most of the medical bills.
